SAE Grant Application

On time submission of application, approvals and recommendations is the responsibility of the applicant, their FFA advisor and parent/guardian. The National FFA Organization is not responsible for the failure of electronic systems to send/receive documents. Early submission of all forms and approvals is strongly encouraged to avoid missing deadlines due to failure of internet access, computer or email systems.
NOTICE: This application is for all SAE Grant amounts available, including the large-scale grants of $5,000 and $10,000.
Current FFA members in grades 7 - 12 are eligible to receive an SAE Grant. To be considered a "current FFA member" applicants must be included on the current year's FFA Membership Roster which has been submitted to the state FFA association level. Financial need is a requirement for this grant. Be certain to fully explain why a grant is needed to start or expand the SAE described in the application statements. All applicants will be considered for the $1,000 grants. Only those completing the Enhanced Scale Grant section (see application) will be considered for the $5,000 and $10,000 grants. These grants are eligible for continuing SAE projects only. Of those continuing SAE projects, only the highest scores from the initial scoring phase of the application will be considered for the Enhanced Scale Grants. If not awarded a enhanced grant, the student's score may still allow them to receive a $1,000 grant. Members are eligible for only a single grant each year, regardless of amount. Grant recipients are required to submit the following documents by the specified deadline in order to receive the grant funds. Failure to return the required completed documents by the deadline will result in forfeiture of the grant. Grant contract (explains the terms and conditions of accepting the grant- which includes filing a mid-year report), Financial Acceptance Agreement (including IRS Form W9 which requires a U.S.A Social Security Number) Publicity Agreement.
